Asthaa Chaturvedi

Asthaa Chaturvedi is an audio producer of “The Daily.” Prior to joining The New York Times, she produced “On The Media,” WNYC's weekly investigation into how the media shapes our worldview.

She has reported on the journey of unaccompanied minors leaving Central America for the United States, the refugee crisis in Europe, and the battle over voting rights during the 2016 election. She produced the second season of “The Pitch” from Gimlet Media and made audio documentaries for FiveThirtyEight's politics podcast. She helped make “Caliphate,” a podcast about the Islamic State from The New York Times.

She graduated from the Columbia Journalism School and grew up in New Jersey.
