Tom Brady

Tom Brady is an NFL quarterback who played for the New England Patriots for 20 years before he went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March 2020. Brady has come a long way since being the 199th pick in the draft and has now has seven Super Bowl victories to date.

Brady was born on August 3, 1977 in San Mateo, California to Galynn and Tom Brady Sr. He went to high school at Junipero Serra, where he excelled at both baseball and football. Before he became the football player he is known as today, he actually entered the MLB draft in 1995 where he was picked up by the Montreal Expos and made the decision to go to the University of Michigan to pursue his football dreams instead.

At Michigan, he played during his junior year and in 2000, he was a sixth-round pick by the New England Patriots. During his first year, the 2000 season, he was fourth in line behind quarterbacks Drew Bledsoe, John Friesz and Michael Bishop.

In 2001, Brady moved up a few spots and he was second string quarterback to Bledose. During a game in September 2001 against the New York Jets, Bledsoe was hit hard by linebacker Mo Lewis and Brady entered the game. After that game, Brady became the starting quarterback for the Patriots.

In 2002, Brady led the Patriots to the Super Bowl, beating the St. Louis Rams. In 2004, the Patriots won the Super Bowl once again, beating the Carolina Panthers. Brady has won seven Super Bowls in his career, which is more than any other player. After winning in 2004, he won 2005. He then won in 2015, 2017, 2019 and won during his first year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021.

In 2015, it was announced the Brady would be suspended for four games in the following season for allegedly deflating footballs during the AFC Championship game against the Colts. After lots of conferences and discussion, the suspension stayed and Brady missed the first four games of the 2016 season.

In March 2020, Brady shocked the sports world when he left his head coach Bill Belichick and the rest of the New England Patriots to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During his first year with the team, he won the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brady has won the most Super Bowls of any other player in the NFL and has the most appearances, with ten Super Bowl appearances. Brady has also had his brand TB12 that he started back in 2013. In May 2022, it was announced that Brady will be joining Fox Sports as a lead analyst following his football career.

Brady was married to model Gisele Bündchen for 13 years before they announced their divorce via Instagram in October 2022. Brady and his ex-wife have two children together, Benjamin Rein, who was born in 2009 and Vivian Lake, who was born in 2012. He also has a child with his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, John Edward Thomas Moynahan was born in August 2007.
