Portrait of Marion Lozano

Marion Lozano

From my studio in New York, I create the music for newsroom podcasts, including “The Daily,” “Modern Love,” “The Run-Up” and “Hard Fork.” My music is rhythmic, textured and understated.

I have advanced degrees in audio engineering and music production. I play a variety of instruments, but I am typically incorporating synthesizers, trumpet, guitar and bass into my music.

Although I am not involved in editorial decisions related to the content of our shows, I uphold The Times’s code of ethics as outlined in our Ethical Journalism Handbook. My goal is to support our colleagues’ editorial vision from pre-production, through sound design and composition, and post-production mixing and publishing.
